Manitou Springs is nestled in the shadows of the 14,114-foot Pike’s Peak. A small town, home to the Cog Railway, Manitou Incline, and centuries old mineral spring, as well as numerous little shops, galleries and eateries. The annual events that take place in town are interesting to say the least. Events such as the Fruitcake Toss, Coffin Race, and Carnivale show that the town really knows how to host some seriously wacky, fun events.
Sometimes dubbed ‘hippie Mayberry’, the town is a haven for the artsy, spiritual type with a mellow vibe. And yes, there are no less than a half dozen legal marijuana establishments, one with its own overflow parking. That’s how they roll. Literally.
